Adopt Barney: A handsome vintage doggy

01/09/2016 – Barney has been adopted!

Barney came from Kansas City to find his “forever” home. His owner told the KC shelter that he was about 13 years old, but our vet says that his eyes would indicate an age in the 7 to 9 year range. Whatever his age, Barney is a beautiful black Mini, weighing in at just over 24 pounds. He loves to play with his people and other dogs, and particularly likes his chewies. He appears to be house trained. Barney is still a little intimidated by all the changes that have taken place in his life over the last few weeks – the shelter, a foster, transport to Denver, and then another foster home – so he’ll be happy to find his permanent home and start soaking up lots of love.

Barney (Black Mini Schnauzer for adoption)

Barney is neutered, he is up to date on his shots (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and micro chipped. We removed a large fluid filled cyst under his right front leg and cleaned his teeth while he was in rescue. If you would like to meet this beautiful boy, complete the adoption application.
