Adopt Peanut: ginger love dog

10/24/2015 – Peanut has been adopted!!!

Peanut is another Schnauzer wannabe who traveled to Colorado to find his loving forever home after testing positive for heartworms in TX. He is a beautiful reddish cockapoo, probably about 3 years old, weighing in at about 10 pounds. He came to rescue full of worms, so he was treated for those first thing. Despite his young age, Peanut also has juvenile cataracts that limit his sight. He makes up for these limitations by being just too cute and loving.

Peanut is neutered, he is up to date on his shots (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, and micro chipped. The vet wanted to wait a couple weeks for him to put on some weight before we treat him for heartworms. We will treat him as soon as possible. We’ll be able to retest Peanut to make sure we got all of the heartworms in 4 to 6 months, at which time the rescue will pay for that testing and any further treatment that is required. If you would like to meet Peanut, please complete the online adoption application and we will give you a call to set up a time to bring him for a visit.
