Mickey is a little 1 year old terrier mix who was surrendered by his owner along with his sister Minnie (also available). This little guy weighs around 10 lbs. and is initially fearful and barky when he meets new people, but as we saw at the photo shoot yesterday, he really wants to be held and snuggled! He got along great with the other dogs at the shoot. He will warm up to his new owners, but it may take a little time, as he needs to gain confidence via positive training. Once he does though, you’ll have a lifetime snuggle buddy! We are particularly looking for someone who would be willing to foster him for a while and teach him that people are kind and good. Mickey is very treat motivated which is why he has made so much progress.
Since Mickey is so small, a secure fence will be necessary, and we are suggesting no children under 12 years old since he’s had an awful lot of change in his young life and is going to need some time to lose his timid side. Mickey is neutered, he is up to date on his shots (rabies, distemper, and kennel cough), vet checked, and micro chipped. If you would like to meet Mickey, please complete the adoption application.
