Adopt Kitty!

Kitty is looking for a loving retirement home. A little 14 lb. gray and white Shih Tzu, Kitty is about 12 years old. Except for the loss of most of her teeth which causes her tongue to hang out, she seems to be pretty healthy. She eats moistened kibble. Her blood tests were within normal limits. She is very quiet and calm and would make a great companion for someone who likes to read or watch TV. She would like a quiet home with no children and a fenced in backyard.

Kitty came from a rescuer in Missouri who died in a car accident a few years ago. Kitty was this woman’s heart dog actually. Her husband is moving to the city and could not take all of the 13 dogs they had accumulated on the farm over the years. Some of the rescuer’s friends were helping out by trying to find another rescue who could take some of the dogs. Kitty came into our rescue with a schnauzer, Gus, from the same group.

Kitty is spayed, she is up to date on her shots (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and micro chipped.
