Eeyore is a 3 year old cream colored poodle-y, Lhasa-y boy who ended up in a shelter with a broken leg and needed help. We took him into rescue and sent his x-rays to our orthopedic surgeon. The surgeon felt that the break to his upper leg bone was too old to be fixed successfully, so Eeyore had his front right leg amputated at the shoulder. Two weeks post surgery and he is healing well and learning to walk as a tripod. His staples will come out this week and he will be ready to go. He is loving all the attention and affection he is getting. He weighs about 20 pounds. He is spending a lot of his time standing up in his exercise pen and watching everyone around him. He loves his chewies.
Eeyore is neutered, he is up to date on his shots (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and micro chipped.
