Adopt Amadeus: a shy charmer

04/08/2016 – Amadeus has been adopted!

Amadeus (Mini Schnauzer for adoption)Amadeus is a mini schnauzer mix who is looking for his “forever” home. We think he is about 2 years old, and he weighs in at about 14 pounds. He was originally picked up as a stray in a rural part of the metropolitan Denver area at the end of January. About a week later, he was transferred to another shelter in the area. About 10 days later, he was transferred to rescue because he was too shy to be put up for adoption. After a few days in his foster home, he calmed down a lot and decided he liked people attention, and is playing with other dogs. He is still very scared however, so he needs to go to an “adults only” home with previous “dog” experience. He just needs someone with time and patience to give him love and confidence. He was fine at the vet until we had to restrain him for vaccinations. He does like to play with other dogs, and requests attention from his foster mom.

Amadeus (Mini Schnauzer for adoption)Amadeus is neutered, he is up to date on his vaccinations (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and micro chipped. If you would like to meet Amadeus, please complete the adoption application. We will give you a call to set up a time to bring Amadeus for a visit.
