Happy Tail! This former adopter and her wonderful mom had lost their beloved dog, so they reached out and asked to meet a dog who was older and needed some special TLC. They said they had plenty of love to still give Max was the perfect fit. After quickly exploring his new home, he jumped onto the couch and cuddled on the blanket exactly where the other pup used to He stole their hearts at that moment. So Max got his dream – a beautiful mom AND grandma, and a wonderful forever home. Woot!!

Reed was adopted!
❤️ Happy Tail! ❤️ Reed had recently come back to our rescue when we received an application from this lovely lady who was looking for a sweet dog to help heal her heart after she had recently lost her husband. It was a love match when they met! 💕 Together, this pair is navigating their new life and taking comfort in each other’s company. This is what it’s all about…..💜🧡💚💛💙
Harry & Magoo (aka Milo & Otis) were adopted!
Happy Puppy Tails! TGIF everybody!! These two pups are bundles of pure joy, and they found a wonderful new home with a fun loving mom and dad (dad was on a business trip on photo day), and best of all – two human puppies to run around with. Then there are plenty of laps for snuggles galore when their energy is spent. Woohoo!!
Crane (aka Zane) was adopted!
Happy Tail! Crane, now named Zane, wasn’t in rescue too long before he found his perfect home. He first went to an amazing foster home where he had a number of very cool Colorado camping and hiking experiences with the fosters and their puppy. It was there that we realized this guy who had been pegged as a senior was likely a lot younger than originally thought based on his energy and agility. He then met his new dad and fur sister, Beyla, who is truly his doppelgänger! It was an immediate match and Zane was a beloved family member immediately. Yippee!!!
Toby was adopted!
❤️ Happy Tail! ❤️ Toby came to rescue on New Year’s Eve 2017. His luck changed with the turn of the calendar though when this wonderful couple decided that fostering would be fun to try. Well, we all know that sometimes a foster doggie moves into your home AND heart, and that’s exactly what happened here. So let’s do a foster AWESOME happy dance everyone!! 🎉🐾🐶
Finnegan (aka Sammy) was adopted!
Happy Tail! It’s a drizzly Monday, so let’s start the week by catching up with some happy adoption stories. Sammy, now named Finnegan, took his new mom’s heart right away. He needed a strong person in his life, and the fact that his mama is a dog trainer (!) was the perfect match. Woohoo!! Finn has a wonderful new life!
Buster and Peanut were adopted!
More magic happened at the Shutters for Shelters photo shoot today. Double happy tail!!!
We meet a lot of dogs during our shoots, but we’re not often there when they find their forever homes! But today, Buster and Peanut found their forever family right here at our studio!!
They couldn’t have picked a better family…and rumor has it Buster had his first shopping trip to get some gear for their family vacation soon…while Peanut spent time with her new daddy…already a daddy’s girl!!
Congratulations to the whole family!!
There are more wonderful dogs with the Colorado Miniature Schnauzer Rescue & Vintage Dog Rescue waiting to find their forever families.
Bella was adopted!
❤️ Happy Tail! ❤️ Get ready for a bunch of happy adoption stories we have been collecting over the summer. 🎉🐶 First up is Bella. This cutie somehow landed at an out of state shelter on the “rescue only” …
Pinky (Aka Mia) was adopted!
❤ Happy Tail! ❤ You may recall Pinky, the little island girl who came from Puerto Rico after the hurricane. She was adopted, but the harsh cold and wind of the high mountain area where she was, and her adopted mom’s increasing work schedule, proved to not be her best situation so she was tearfully returned to rescue. We took her for some new photos with her cute fuzzy look, and one of the helpers at the photo shoot fell in love with her and her story right away. And as they say….the rest is happily ever after history! 💕 Pinky is now Mia and she’s living a princess life with a mom and dad and several furry friends. Happy dance for sweet Mia!!!
Stella was adopted!
Happy Tail! One of our adopters in New Mexico became aware of Little Stella needing a new home. The owners agreed to surrender her to rescue, and another NM adopter teamed up with the first and chauffeured Stella to Denver. As you can imagine, it didn’t take long for this cutie to land in a wonderful new home. And she has two sweet human sisters!! We appreciate her original owners trusting us to find Stella a better situation.
