Micah was adopted!

❤️Happy Puppy Tail! ❤️ We recently bid farewell to the last of the batch of Spring puppies we had in rescue. Micah was adopted by a wonderful new mama who will give him a great life. And he also gets two fun loving Schnauzer siblings in the deal! Woot! 🎉🐾🐶💕

Minnie & Maybelle were adopted!

❤️❤️ Two-fer Happy Tail! ❤️❤️ Minnie & Maybelle went to a meet and greet together where the young humans each fell in love with a different puppy. 🤔What to do?!? Well of course you adopt BOTH!! Woohoo!! Now named Cami and Pixie, these two puppies join an animal loving family that includes a sweet senior Schnauzer and a younger doggie who is loving her new playmates, even a couple of cats! Seems like bliss has been accomplished!! 🎉🐶🐾

Milo was adopted!

❤️ Happy Puppy Tail! ❤️ Another of April’s pups, Milo, now named Shadow, has found his forever home! He’s loving his new life where he has awesome parents and 3 playful human siblings to play with in a huge back yard. Hurray for Milo!!! 🐾🎉🐶

Lacey was adopted!

❤️ Happy Tail! ❤️ Lacey ended up back with us after 6 years with her original adoptive family when their situation changed. We took care of some of her serious veterinary needs and then a wonderful former adopter saw her and fell in love with this beautiful black mini. Lacey joins a household of dogs all adopted from our rescue and is being cherished by her new mama. 💕🐶🐾 Happy second chance dance!! 🎉

Bonnie & Sparky were adopted!

❤️ Happy TGIF Tail!! ❤️ Bonnie & Sparky found the perfect forever home! They have a gigantic yard to explore and a mom who adores them. These two were surrendered to a vet clinic when their owner went into a nursing home. With the help of a wonderful rescue partner in Kansas, the duo were able to get to us, and the rest is happy history 💕Their new mom enjoys watching these cuties patrol the huge back yard and has nicknamed them the Charcoal Bar-quettes when they see squirrels….😄

Paxton (Chico) was adopted!

❤️ Happy Tail! ❤️ This is a special story about second chances and being in the right place at the right time. Chico, who became Paxton, was adopted last summer by a family who drove to Colorado to meet and adopt him. Well, sadly their family situation fell apart recently and they contacted us to take him back (which is exactly what we ask people to do!). The challenge was then figuring out how to get him back. We started reaching out to contacts we knew to begin the transport process then recalled that another former adopter lived fairly close. We called them and they immediately went to get Paxton for us with plans to foster him until we could figure out a plan. Well, this amazing and loving couple who had fairly recently lost their beloved doggie immediately fell in love with Paxton, and the rest is history! 💕Paxton is living the high life with daily visits to the dog park where his people call him the sheriff. They report: “He is definitely the boss at the dog park. Everyone laughs at him checking in the new arrivals at the gate and very vocally telling them what the rules are. If a big dog starts messing with a little dog he’ll protect the little one. I do believe he’s unpacked his suitcase and settled in for the duration.”

Happy second chance dance! 🎉 💃🏻

Harvey was adopted!

❤️ Happy Tail! ❤️ Harvey came to our rescue after recently losing his lifelong mama, but he wasn’t in rescue long. He’s a total sweetie who had been a lone doggie his whole life, but we realized quickly that he enjoys other small dogs. So, when a wonderful former adopter contacted us after losing one of his doggies, it seemed the perfect fit, and it was! Harvey has a loving new dad, a gigantic yard to patrol, and two new furry friends to pal around with (one was hiding behind dad in this photo). Happy Harvey dance!! 🎉🐾🐶💕
