Adopt Pinkie!

Pinkie was in a shelter in Puerto Rico when hurricane Maria headed for the island. Luckily, she was airlifted to the mainland to make room in the shelters for dogs that would get lost in the hurricane. She was flown to a local shelter in Colorado, but after a couple weeks with no interest, they asked rescue to take her in. She is a small terrier mix, not quite 12 pounds. She had been picked up as a stray, so we don’t know much about her. We think that she is about 12 years old. She possibly lived as a street dog, but she is very social. She gets along well with people, especially if they give her belly rubs. She is fine with other dogs as long as they don’t get right in her face. She is definitely crate trained, but we aren’t sure about her housetraining. She is very quiet.

Pinkie is spayed, she is up to date on her vaccinations (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and micro chipped. She does seem to have cataracts, but seems to see fine. If you would like to meet Pinkie, go to cominischnazuerrescue.com and complete the on-line adoption application. We will give you a call to set up a time to bring Pinkie for a visit.
