Here is another boy being fostered with our friend in Kansas City. Heinz is around 7 years old and will be joining our rescue this week along with Dozer & Skittles. Here are some notes about this sweet boy whose owner died and then the family dumped him at a shelter. Heinz is very overweight and was in a terrible condition when he arrived. Our foster spent hours cutting mats off this poor boy and his paw nails were so overgrown they had curled into his pads. He may have some food allergies which cause skin issues. We’ll get him fully checked out by our vet next week. We need a Colorado foster for this sweet boy!
“Big Boy Heinz – his paperwork says 43.5 pounds. He doesn’t like my cats but is good with other dogs. He is affectionate when I am in his room with him. He seems more relaxed and will eat his food or chew on a bone when I am sitting with him. He goes in his kennel for treats and is quiet at night in his kennel. He goes outside and does his business and no accidents in the house.”
