George is 5 years old and is a 27+ pound large Mini (or small standard) Schnauzer with a lot of puppy energy and a big personality. He was an owner surrender from a young guy who had posted him on Craigslist in a smallish New Mexico town. One of our alert former adopters saw the listing and we were able to talk with the owner and explain the dangers of “Free to a Good Home” listings. Three of our great former adopters teamed up to make a transport plan for George to get to rescue in Colorado. He is good with most people as soon as he meets them and would do well with other dogs of his age and his size, or bigger. He would probably do best with a decent sized fenced backyard to run in as it will take an active owner to tire this guy out. Don’t know for sure but he could be a great walking or running companion.
George is neutered, he is up to date on his shots (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and micro chipped. If you would like to meet George, go to www.cominischnauzerrescue.com and complete the on-line adoption application. We suggest that you print off a copy prior to hitting the “send” button, just in case. We will give you a call to set up a time to bring George for a visit.
