Thor is a terrier mix who came from New Mexico, where his time had run out, looking for a safe and loving home. He weighs almost 32 pounds and has a beautiful salt and pepper coat. Growing up as a stray in southern New Mexico, he is heartworm positive. He is being treated for the heartworms. He is a little timid and didn’t know how to go up and down stairs when he came into rescue, but he learned in only two days! He loves people attention and he is fine with the little Mini Schnauzers that he lives with in his foster home. He doesn’t seem to know what to do with toys or chewy treats, but we are working on that!
Thor is neutered, he is up to date on his shots (rabies, distemper, and kennel cough), vet checked and micro chipped. He does have a broken tooth which we will have removed after his heartworm treatment.

Once his broken tooth is removed, he can come and live with his adopted people. In about 7 months we will have him tested for heartworms again to make sure that the treatment was effective. If not, we will retreat him at the rescue’s expense.
