01/04/2015 – Claire has been adopted!!!
Claire is a very loving and sweet girl who was recently “owner surrendered” due to her owners losing their home. Claire is 7 years old, and is a very small, pretty parti-colored girl. She has been bred in the past and it appears that her last litter of pups were born last Fall. She is great with people and with other dogs, she’s quite submissive, so she poses no threat even to the more dominant foster dog she is with now. She has some separation anxiety if left alone without canine companions nearby. Claire is not housetrained, but has been with her foster family for about a week and is already getting a better idea of what going to the yard means. This is the one area where she will need work. She rides great in the car, eats well, is quiet, keeps her crate clean when she is in there during the work day, and really enjoys exploring both the house and the yard. She is a really gentle and a super-cuddly lap dog who wants to be next to or on you all the time!
Claire is spayed, has had her teeth cleaned while in rescue. She is up to date on her shots (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and micro chipped. If you would like to meet Claire, complete the adoption application. You can do it online or print the PDF, fill it out, and when you are finished, you can email it to Susan or fax it to her at the number on the application. After she has reviewed the application, she will give you a call to set up a time to bring Claire for a visit.
