07/24/2015 – Beau has been adopted!!! 
This little guy is in need of a forever home, and he’s a keeper! He was found matted and filthy, but now he is a healthy pup, about 15-pounds, athletic, and very fluffy, with a curled tail and lots of love to give. He’s had a blast in his foster home, and he’s played with several other dogs and even shared his own food with them. He’s done well with potty training too. He’s cuddly, curious, and active at the same time. He does remarkably well on hikes and at the same time he’s just happy to be inside with his people getting attention and lots of petting. He likes toys and chews, and he can jump up really high, especially when there are treats involved! Oh, and he’s not a barker. He’ll do great with nearly anybody who has lots of time and love to give. He would probably enjoy a semi-active family or owner with perhaps another dog with whom he can play.
Beau is neutered, up to date on his shots (rabies, distemper, and kennel cough), vet-checked, and micro-chipped. He was treated for heartworm and will be re-tested soon, but more than likely, he is 100% cured. If not, rescue will pay for testing and any retreatment that might be necessary.
