Toto sneaked into rescue as a Schnauzer wannabe from a local shelter after he had been returned for the third time! One adopter gave him only three weeks to settle in. He escaped from their house and ran several blocks. He wouldn’t come when called, they said. He needs a yard, they said. A second adopter gave him 7 months and said he was anxious with other dogs, barks, was nippy and escaped the house and yard. His foster mom confirms that he is very active and will try to escape, but he is contained with a 4 foot fence. He definitely needs a securely fenced yard to run in to burn off all of his energy. His foster mom is working with him on meeting other dogs. He needs consistent training and an experienced terrier owner, but she has not seen any nipping behavior.
Toto is neutered, he is up to date on his vaccinations, vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and micro chipped. If you think you are up to the task of training Toto, please complete the adoption application. We will give you a call to set up a time to bring Toto for a visit.
