03/04/2016 – Maxie has been adopted! 
Meet Maxie! 
Maxie came into rescue from a Good Samaritan who saved her off a Craigslist posting. Maxie has been through the trauma of an unpleasant marital breakup, losing her canine companion in the process. We were told that she is 9 years old, but our vet thinks that she may be closer to 7 years old. Maxie is very affectionate and loves to sleep with her foster mom. She is a little jealous, understandable after all she has been through, but a single dog home or a home with a companion dog and a knowledgeable owner would be a good situation for her. She is housetrained. Maxie is gray with a black face mask and weighs just over 17 pounds.
Maxie is spayed, she is up to date with her vaccinations (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue.
