Macy has been adopted!
Macy is a sweet little white mini who is looking for a comfortable retirement home. She was surrendered by her owner to a shelter in southern New Mexico. They found that she had goathead stickers in all four paws that actually had to be surgically removed. She also has a condition called dry eye, which results when the eyes don’t produce tears to moisturize and clean the eye. Because this wasn’t treated, she has lost most of the sight in both eyes. We think that she sees light and shadows though. She requires a drop of medicine in each eye twice each day to prevent the dryness and infection. Macy weighs about 15 ½ pounds and is a quiet little girl. She gets along well with other dogs, and likes to wander around in her fenced in backyard. She even does play bows to the other dogs! She would do best in a quiet home, with a companion dog to follow around.
Macy is spayed, she is up to date on her shots (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative while in rescue, and micro chipped. If you would like to meetMacy and perhaps give her a quiet loving retirement home, go towww.cominischnauzerrescue.com and complete the adoption application. We will give you a call to set up a time to bring Macy for a visit.
