Adopt Chad: lookin’ for belly rubs!

09/23/2015 – Chad has been adopted!!!

Chad came to us from a rural CO shelter. He is about 2 1/2 years old. The shelter got him from a Houston shelter where he was scheduled to be euthanized.

The shelter adopted him in their area back in November, but he was recently returned. We off
ered to take him as he is probably a mini mix. He weighs in at just over 22 pounds.

He needs some work on his house training, but he is keeping his crate clean. He is fine with other dogs, and adores people attention, love and belly rubs from his foster mom.

Chad is neutered, up to date on his shots, vet checked, heartworm tested negative and micro chipped. His adoption fee, which covers all his vet care, is $300. Fill out an adoption application if you’d like him to come home with you.

Chad Update (Aug. 14, 2015):

I had a chance to spend some time with Chad at a recent adoption appointment, and wow is that boy a cute and super sweet dog! He got along so well with all the dogs present and didn’t bark once. He alternated between playing and checking out the yard, and wanting to sit on our laps for some loving. This nearly 3 year old guy is awesome all around, and will be great with your existing pets, and likely fine with slightly older kids (we rarely place our pups in homes with really young children since these are terriers after all, and the movement of little ones can get a chase response going in the dog). He’s an active energetic guy but not crazy high energy when he’s around people. Would love walks or hikes with you. He goes to doggy daycare once a week and loves it. Does Chad sound like a pup who would fit into your life??
